This year marks the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Across the nation, there are incredible events for all Americans to join in the celebration of this historic milestone. Whether you’re celebrating at home or traveling to our nation’s capital, I wanted to make sure you're aware of some of the unique events that are available.

EVENTS IN NORTH TEXAS
North Tarrant Family Fireworks
The North Tarrant Chamber of Commerce is inviting families, neighbors, and friends from across the area to gather for the annual North Tarrant Family Fireworks celebration on July 1st. This year’s free community tradition will help kick off America’s 250th birthday celebration with a 2,500-drone show, fireworks, live music, and family activities.

Fort Worth Fireworks
In celebration of the 250th anniversary of our nation declaring independence, Fort Worth's Fourth will put on an incredible fireworks show.

4th of July Parade
McDavid Estates subdivision residents and guests will celebrate Independence Day with a July 4th Parade and Celebration as part of the official America250 Block Party. The School of Rock of Fort Worth is scheduled to perform after the conclusion of the fireworks show.

The Arlington Independence Day Parade is the oldest and longest-running event in Arlington. All are welcome to attend this great event in North Texas.

The Freedom Truck
The Freedom Truck is a traveling museum that commemorates America’s 250th anniversary with a remarkable exhibit about the founding and history of our nation. This family-friendly and educational exhibit provides a fun and engaging way to learn about the great Americans who built our great country.

EVENTS IN DC
America 250 Firework Celebration
In our nation’s capital, there will be a major celebration of freedom, strength, and exceptionalism. The fireworks show will take place along the Potomac River, in full view of the National Mall and iconic backdrops of the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument.
- Timeline of events:
- The grounds open at 1:00 PM with an Independence Day Parade to follow.
- The main show begins at 6:00 PM, where the Navy Band will play.
- The celebration will end with a record-setting firework display illuminating monuments and memorials of the nation’s capital around 10:30 PM.

National Independence Day Parade
There will be a one-of-a-kind national parade in Washington, D.C., featuring marching bands, giant balloons, and military units from all 50 states.

- Starting around 10:30 AM, there will be military demonstrations showcasing the courage and capability of America’s armed forces, tributes to service members and American heroes, special guest remarks, and family-friendly festivities.

Great American State Fair
The American State Fair celebrates people, traditions, innovators, and the great American spirit. This fair will feature more than 150 exhibits from all 56 states and territories. It’s designed to showcase the best of America through pavilions, civic organizations, family-friendly attractions, movie screenings, musical performances, military ensembles, daily cultural programming, and spectacular flyovers. There will even be a special Ferris Wheel on the National Mall.

FIFA World Cup Fan Zone
With the US hosting the FIFA World Cup tournament, the FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Zone Experience welcomes all to cheer on Team USA. This serves as a gathering place for families, fans, and visitors to enjoy the live match broadcasts, interactive activities, great food, and immersive entertainment in the heart of the nation’s capital.

- The gates will open one hour before the first streamed match of the day and conclude one hour after the final streamed match of the day.
