Legislation & Actions:

  • Working Families Tax Cut – Signed into law
    • Rep. Goldman voted for the Working Families Tax Cut, which allocates nearly $150 billion for border security and deportation operations, funds border wall construction, and authorizes the hiring of 18,000 law enforcement officers.   
  • HALT Fentanyl ActPassed the U.S. House
    • Rep. Goldman is co-sponsoring the HALT Fentanyl Act to permanently classify fentanyl as a Schedule I controlled substance, strengthening law enforcement tools and improving information sharing to combat the fentanyl crisis.
  • Reimbursing Texans for Funding Border Security
    • Rep. Goldman is working with Rep. Pfluger, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, and all Texas Republican colleagues in calling on the federal government to reimburse $11.1 billion to Texas taxpayers for spending used to secure the border while the Biden administration failed to act.
  • State Border Security Assistance ActIntroduced to the U.S. House
    • Rep. Goldman is co-sponsoring the State Border Security Assistance Act to reimburse Texas for border security costs through federal legislation.
