Legislation & Actions:

  • Working Families Tax Cut – Signed into law
    • Rep. Goldman voted for the Working Families Tax Cut to establish the Rural Hospital Transformation Program, which invests $50 billion in rural hospitals. Additionally, it will remove individuals who are improperly enrolled in Medicaid, preserving resources for those who genuinely need them.
    • The Rural Hospital Transformation Program will invest more than $1.4 billion in Texas’s rural health care over the next five years. These resources will strengthen and expand rural health care services for millions of Texans.
  • More Affordable Care Act – Introduced into the U.S. House and U.S. Senate
    • Rep. Goldman is co-sponsoring the More Affordable Care Act to help make health care in American more affordable for hardworking families. This bill would reduce costs, increase competition, and restore patient choice.
  • Mikaela Naylon Give Kids a Chance Act – Passed the U.S. House
    • Rep. Goldman is co-sponsoring the Mikaela Naylon Give Kids a Chance Act to improve pediatric cancer treatment by requiring pharmaceutical companies to study targeted therapies in children when scientifically appropriate. Additionally, it strengthens FDA enforcement and transparency.
  • Improving Seniors' Timely Access to Care Act – Introduced to the U.S. House
    • Rep. Goldman is co-sponsoring the Improving Seniors' Timely Access to Care Act, which requires Medicare Advantage plans to establish an electronic prior authorization system that delivers real-time decisions for commonly approved services, reducing delays for seniors seeking routine care.
  • Nancy Gardner Sewell Medicare Multi-Cancer Detection Screening Coverage Act – Introduced to the U.S. House
    • Rep. Goldman is co-sponsoring the Nancy Gardner Sewell Medicare Multi-Cancer Detection Screening Coverage Act, which allows Medicare to cover multi-cancer early detection tests once they are FDA-approved and shown to provide clinical benefit, giving seniors access to cutting-edge screening tools.
